SHOOTING WINDOWS
We have scheduled out shooting windows for two weeks per photographer with a 3-5 day shipping buffer in between based on distance. You will receive an email letting you know what your shooting window is as well as a ship by date of when you need to get it to the next photographer. All shipments are tracked and you will receive an email alert when your shipment is dropped off and on the way to you. If there are any major delays with the postal service we can adjust the shooting windows if needed. Please be respectful of the photographers after you and make sure to ship on time.
CARING FOR THE DRESS
This dress is silk and is a delicate fabric. Take caution when shooting to have the model carry the dress when walking from one location to another so it doesn’t drag. Avoid sharp bushes, plants and rocks. If the model is wearing jewelry make sure there are no sharp edges that could snag the fabric. The dress can get wet during a shoot but make sure to immediately rinse with warm water so that it doesn’t dry with salt or chlorine water on it. Silk also wrinkles when it is folded up so it will need a good steam when it arrives, any kind of steamer works and is super fast to get it in smooth shooting condition.
CLEANING THE DRESS
Please be respectful of the person shooting after you and send the dress in a condition you would want to receive it in. There are three ways the dress can be cleaned depending on the state it is in after your shoot. 1. Spot wash any marks with warm water and a mild detergent then when it is dry steam clean (steam cleaning santizes the dress and removes any odors so it is fresh for the next shoot) 2. Hand wash the entire dress in warm water with mild detergent, hang to dry. Make sure it is COMPLETELY dry before packing up or it can develop mildew. 3. Dry clean. * The dye process can leave a tiny bit of color runoff so if you see a small amount of color coming off the dress as you wash it don’t panic this is totally normal and isn’t harming the dress.

We are so excited to see what you create with this dress! When you finish your images please share with us so we can show off your amazing work. You can send gallery links to hello@goldenhourgowns.com. Please tag us in any images you post on Instagram (or feel free to do a collaborative post). Any of your images that we share will be appropriately tagged and credited both on social media and on the final gallery showcase page.
LABELS
We will provide shipping labels in the box. The label you will use will be in an envelope with your name on it. Simply reseal the original box, put the new label on and send it on it’s way. Please make sure to leave the other envelopes in the box so everyone after has their labels. Also use caution when opening the box so it can be reused – or if it is damaged please use a new shipping box so the dress safely makes it way to the next person.
