Description
Golden Hour Gown Rental Policies
All rentals are for 5 day periods, starting from the day you select on the calendar in the checkout process. Any dresses shipped late (after the 5th day of the rental period) will result in another full 5-day rental period being charged.
Once the rental is marked as “Delivered” by USPS you are responsible for your gown for the next 5 days, or until you ship it back (returning it early is totally fine!). Shipping delays with USPS can occur, so we always recommend scheduling the receipt of your gown a few days prior to your shoot. We cannot guarantee delivery dates (wish we could!), and cannot offer refunds due to shipping delays.
On the day your rental arrives, we will email you a shipping label for its return. Please be sure to check both your inbox and spam folders for your return label. Simply print the label, put it on the box and drop it off at your local post office.
All Golden Hour Gowns have been lovingly handmade and are perfectly suited for photography sessions of all kinds. The rental gowns cannot be used for event wear (weddings, etc.), but you can request to purchase a gown for your event.
Please let us know immediately on the arrival of your gown if there are any damages or if it is obviously in need of cleaning (photos required). As long as you communicate these concerns on the day it arrives you won’t be held responsible. Communication is key!
All damages need to be reported ASAP, so we can figure out if the gown can move on to the next rental after a simple dry cleaning, or if it needs to be routed back to us for repair. Most repairs are fairly simple, and as long as we have a heads up we can work with you. Serious damages beyond repair and requiring us to take the gown out of rotation will be considered a purchase, charged the retail price, and sent back to you (you break it, you buy it).
Over time, rental gowns will have minor signs of wear that will not show up in photographs. When renting you understand you are not receiving a brand new gown.
Gowns cannot be submerged in water, please do not shoot in or around water.
Repeated failure to care for the gowns properly or delays in return shipping will result in the inability to continue renting from Golden Hour Gowns.
The Golden Rule
It’s an oldie, but goodie. Treat others the way you want to be treated. These are traveling gowns and will move to the next rental immediately after you are finished with it. Please enjoy it responsibly, then lovingly package it in the included garment bag and ship it on time. Late shipping and damages could result in serious scheduling issues and stress for the next photographer, so we ask you to please keep this in mind.
CARING FOR YOUR GOWN
Due to the handmade nature of these gowns and the manner in which they are embellished, the only suitable cleaning method is to dry clean. If you have concerns about the condition of your gown after your shoot please reach out to us before shipping it to the next photographer (photos included). Failure to do so will result in a $60+ fee (dry cleaning fee plus a little extra for the inconvenience you have caused the next renter). We find that reminding the models wearing the gowns of this policy helps keep them aware of it’s handling during shooting.
The included slip can be simply washed in the washing machine (gentle cycle) and hung to dry. All slips must be washed prior to returning (please make sure it is 100% dry before boxing it back up).
Please return your gown in the garment bag provided. We require the gowns be returned in the USPS flat rate boxes they arrive in (if needed new boxes can be found at USPS locations, free of charge).
